AimsThe network exists to promote the use of washable nappies and thus to reduce the environmental impact of disposable nappies. We can provide information, leaflets, publications and offer talks and seminars to parents and health professionals.

Compass IT and WEEE Facility

Activities

Part of the Compass (Peterborough) Ltd group, this part of the organisation provides a complete electrical appliance testing, repairing and recycling service in partnership with Peterbrough City Council.

Volunteers and trainees are provided with a full training programme. Compass meets the Cambridge Constabulary's data wiping standards and several high profile corprate clients including IKEA, Hotpoint, Cambridge Constabulary and John Lewis. 

Compass also provides a collection service throughout Cambridgeshire.

Opportunities Without Limits (OWL)

Aims

To provide real work, learning and leisure opportunities within the community for people who need extra support (e.g. people with learning difficulties, mental health problems and those at a social disadvatnge)

Activities

OWL have several Reuse and recycling projects including:

OWL bikes - a project that restores reuseable bikes and recycles those that cannot be reused.

Aluminimum can, inkjet cartridges and mobile phone collecting and recycling.

In addition they have a Community Maintenence Project for Parish Councils, repairing and maintaining street furniture.

OWL runs a community cafe in Sawston providing catering training and a Meals-2-You service (hot nourishing meals delivered to housebound members of the community)

In addition to the above OWL undertakes numerous horticultural, sport and art activities.
