We offer an exchange service for parents to exchange outgrown branded sports footwear.

Branching out supports adults with learning disabilities in a variety of work areas with training. Work areas vary and include woodwork, horticulture, catering, recycling and retail. We aim to involve and support the community via recycling activities.

We maintain the recycling sites in our local area, collect and recycle dink cans/foil, encourage re-use via our charity shops.

To support the local community providing different activities and events which are accessible to all members of the local community.

Buchan Street Neighbourhood Centre is a Healthy Living centre

In addition to providing a range of community workshops Buchan has also run Junk to Funk workshops and a Trashion

Show highlighting alternative ways to reuse materials that are unrecyclable.

1. to help households in need by providing them with access to very low cost furniture, electrical appliances and other household goods.

2. to provide local people who have unwanted household items with a positive social and environmental alternative to dumping them.

3. to provide opportunities for individuals facing social and economic exclusion to get involved in something worthwhile and beneficial to themselves.

CambridgeSOFA are community furniture re-use project which includes:

* a warehouse shop

* a collections and delivery service

* testing and provision of electrical goods.

To encourage new and expectant parents to use washable cloth nappies in order to reduce their environmental impact and save money.

Empower disadvantaged people living in Peterborough, to take responsibility for their lives.

Compass also protects the enviroment by recycling and re-use.

Part of the Compass (Peterborough) Ltd group, this part of the organisation provides a complete electrical appliance testing, repairing and recycling service in partnership with Peterbrough City Council.

Volunteers and trainees are provided with a full training programme. Compass meets the Cambridge Constabulary's data wiping standards and several high profile corprate clients including IKEA, Hotpoint, Cambridge Constabulary and John Lewis. 

Compass also provides a collection service throughout Cambridgeshire.

Art of recycliong workshops designed to meet the specific needs,abilities and ages of the partcipants. (using a variety of themes.

A Furniture reuse project that offers members a discounted rate on goods and services. Members are all in receipt of means tested benefits and number over 3500 at present.

Our charitable aims are to relieve poverty through the supply of Furniture and white goods to those suffering hardship and to provide constructive volunteering opportunities to those in the local community.

Our office clearance division (at same address) currently has a volume of waste business products (paper, card, envelopes, office chairs, office desks) that changes on a regular basis.

WEEE ATF in Mepal, We'll accep EOL products, but charge for CRT screens.

Lindsey encourages all kinds of reuse and recyling, she thinks we should all recyle and reuse as much as we can.

Lindsey would like to see a much wider range of plastics recycled, all of those currently produced with a recycle logo. She would like to see natural fibres, especially wool, given special emphasis, to encourage people to buy clothing made from them.

Richard has become an Individual member of CCORRN, as he has an active interest in all the projects and undertakings of CCORRN and hopes to bring the voice of the industry to the organisation.

Richard is also one of CCORRN's very respective and supportive Directors.

To provide real work, learning and leisure opportunities within the community for people who need extra support (e.g. people with learning difficulties, mental health problems and those at a social disadvatnge)

OWL have several Reuse and recycling projects including:

OWL bikes - a project that restores reuseable bikes and recycles those that cannot be reused.

Aluminimum can, inkjet cartridges and mobile phone collecting and recycling.

In addition they have a Community Maintenence Project for Parish Councils, repairing and maintaining street furniture.

OWL runs a community cafe in Sawston providing catering training and a Meals-2-You service (hot nourishing meals delivered to housebound members of the community)

In addition to the above OWL undertakes numerous horticultural, sport and art activities.

We are arts based charity that provides work based training for adults in the community with learning difficulties.  We teach and encourage our students to recycle.

On our site we do practical recycling of wood, glas, clay, paper, metal and garden refuse.

Garden Team that services local private and business gardens. 18 acre organic farm that supplies vegetables and herbs to our on site farm shop and delivers to local shops, businesses and stately homes. Training development that works with Cambridgeshire Regional College to provide NVQ's and personal training schemes. Employment Co-Ordinator that provides on going support for paid and Voluntary work placements.

Holds Table Top Sales on the first Saturday of each month.  Would like volunteers to organise a FREECYCLE stall or similar.

We offer, interactive "Waste and Recycling Investigators" a cross curricular programme that meets the needs of the National Curriculum for Primary, Secondary and A Level School groups. Community Groups also welcome.

We aim to develop an awareness of the local and global issues associated to the environmental impact of waste and cover the following: sustainable lifesyles, waste management, landfills, reduce, reuse, recycle and composting.

To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Wisbech and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.
